Locally Prepared Meals for Busy Lives

Fuel Your Body (FYB) is a locally owned meal prep and delivery company preparing fresh, ready-to-eat meals in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. We make it easier to enjoy good food when life is busy, with fully cooked meals delivered to homes, workplaces, and convenient local pickup locations.

Our purpose is simple: take care of the cooking so you have more time for the people, work, and everyday moments that matter to you.

Our Story

Originally from Ireland, founder and owner Jay Gallagher immigrated to Canada in 2012. In December 2019, he started Fuel Your Body in his home kitchen in PEI, sharing free samples and introducing people to a more convenient way to enjoy nutritious meals.

By early 2020, the business had moved into rented kitchen space. When COVID-19 hit, Jay built a commercial kitchen inside his home garage so Fuel Your Body could keep serving customers. As more people made FYB part of their weekly routine, that space soon became too small.

In 2021, we purchased our first facility in PEI and took on the construction work to create a dedicated meal production space. The next chapter followed in January 2025, when we purchased a larger facility in New Brunswick and prepared for our launch that June.

Today, Fuel Your Body has grown to a team of more than 20 people. Our business has expanded across two provinces, supported by the Island customers who helped us get started and the New Brunswick communities that welcomed us.

Local Roots in PEI and New Brunswick

We prepare meals in both provinces, source ingredients from local suppliers, and work with local businesses to make pickup part of your everyday routine.

In Prince Edward Island, our delivery network serves Charlottetown and surrounding communities, Stratford, Cornwall, Kensington, Summerside, Miscouche, and Alberton, reaching customers in central and western PEI. Local pickup locations provide additional options, including in Montague. In New Brunswick, we deliver throughout Greater Moncton, including Moncton, Dieppe, and Riverview, as well as Shediac, Shediac Cape, Pointe-du-Chêne, Grande-Digue, Cap-Pelé, Cocagne, Bouctouche, Notre-Dame, Scoudouc, Memramcook, Beaubassin East, Irishtown, Lakeville, and Lakeburn. Pickup is also available at select local partners.

Being local means building relationships with customers and partners, creating local jobs, and continuing to invest in the communities where we operate.

Food You Look Forward To

Our eight rotating menus feature more than 148 meal options across the full rotation, giving you variety without having to plan recipes, shop for ingredients, or cook.

Every meal is fully cooked and ready to heat. Ingredients and macronutrient information help you choose meals that suit your preferences, and we use halal-certified meat in our meat dishes.

Whether you’re working long shifts, running a business, studying, welcoming a new baby, juggling family life, or training toward a goal, having meals ready in the fridge means one less thing to plan.

Care from Preparation to Delivery

Our own team handles preparation, cooking, packing, and weekly delivery. Home and workplace orders arrive in insulated FYB cooler bags with ice packs.

Through our return program, we collect and exchange bags and ice packs at the next delivery, keeping them in use and reducing the need for disposable delivery packaging. Planning production around customer orders also helps us purchase ingredients more accurately and reduce overproduction.
