Return, Cancellation & Delivery Policy

1. Order Cancellation & Alteration
All orders placed— weekly meal plans—are considered final after Thursday at 11:30 AM (Atlantic Time) for the upcoming week. Cancellations or modifications must be made:

For weekly plans: directly through the customer account portal.
After this deadline, orders are non-refundable. Due to the perishable nature of our products and our commitment to fresh, made-to-order meals, all ingredient purchasing and production planning occurs immediately after the cutoff.
Customers enrolled in a weekly meal plan are responsible for managing their subscription status, including skipping, pausing, or cancelling upcoming deliveries. This can be done anytime between Friday morning and the Thursday 11:30 AM deadline for the following week’s delivery.
In circumstances where a customer is away (including travel outside the province or country), options include:

Arranging for a friend or family member to receive the meals,

Providing an alternate delivery address within our service zones,
-
Requesting donation of meals to a local food charity (no refund will be issued).
These policies support our mission of reducing food waste and maintaining efficient operations.
2. Food Storage & Handling Responsibility
Once delivery confirmation has been issued (via email or SMS), ownership of the meals transfers to the customer. Our insulated cooler bags with ice packs are designed to maintain safe food temperatures for up to four (4) hours after drop-off.
It is the customer’s responsibility to:

Retrieve meals promptly,

Store all meals at 2–4°C (36–39°F),

Reheat meals properly before consumption.
Fuel Your Body – Healthy Meal Delivery Inc. is not liable for any spoilage, foodborne illness, or damage resulting from improper handling, delayed retrieval, or inadequate storage by the customer.
3. Pick-Up Orders
If you choose one of our authorized pick-up locations across PEI and New Brunswick, it is your responsibility to:

Collect meals on the scheduled pick-up day, and
-
Transport them in a cooler bag or temperature-controlled container.
Unclaimed meals will be donated by end of day Friday, and no refund will be provided.
4. Home Delivery Guidelines
For customers opting for home or workplace delivery, please ensure:

The delivery address is correct and accessible,
-
Meals are left in a secure and shaded location when no one is home.
You will receive a delivery confirmation email upon drop-off. At this point, all liability transfers to the customer. Fuel Your Body – Healthy Meal Delivery Inc. is not responsible for:

Stolen items,
-
Spoiled meals due to delays in refrigeration,
-
Missed deliveries due to incorrect or inaccessible addresses.
No refunds will be issued for any of the above scenarios.
5. Compliance & Limitation of Liability
This policy complies with applicable consumer protection and food safety laws in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, and is subject to change without notice.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. Fuel Your Body – Healthy Meal Delivery Inc. reserves the right to make exceptions or clarifications on a case-by-case basis, though doing so shall not constitute a waiver of policy enforcement.
