Shipping & Pick-Up Policy

This Shipping & Pick-Up Policy (“Policy”) is issued by FYB – Fuel Your Body – Healthy Meal Delivery Inc. (“FYB”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), and applies to all customers placing orders for delivery or pick-up through our website at www.eatfyb.ca.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in this Policy, which forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Service Areas

We currently offer delivery and authorized pick-up options in select regions of Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, Canada. Availability is based on geographic location and capacity. If your region is not listed as eligible at checkout, delivery or pick-up is not available at this time.

2. Delivery Overview

Deliveries occur weekly on Sundays and/or Mondays, depending on your geographic location and route scheduling.

All deliveries are made using insulated cooler bags containing ice packs designed to maintain safe food temperatures for a period of up to four (4) hours after delivery. Each cooler bag will contain meals labeled with expiry dates and heating instructions.

3. Delivery Confirmation and Transfer of Risk

Upon successful delivery, you will receive an email or SMS notification confirming drop-off. At that point, all responsibility and risk associated with the meals transfers to you.

We are not liable for:

  • Meals spoiled due to delayed retrieval or improper storage

  • Stolen meals following confirmed delivery

  • Delivery failures resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery information

All delivery instructions must be submitted at the time of checkout. We do not accommodate mid-route delivery changes.

4. Customer Obligations for Home Deliveries

Customers are solely responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete delivery details

  • Ensuring the delivery location is accessible and safe

  • Retrieving meals promptly upon delivery confirmation

  • Storing meals at or below 4°C (39.2°F)

  • Reheating meals to a minimum internal temperature of 74°C (165°F) before consumption, in accordance with Health Canada guidelines

Failure to adhere to the above may result in food safety risks. FYB disclaims all liability arising from customer mishandling or storage failures.

5. Pick-Up Locations

You may opt to collect your order from one of our authorized pick-up locations across PEI and New Brunswick.

Pick-up instructions and hours will be displayed at checkout and/or communicated via email. It is your sole responsibility to collect your meals during the designated window.

  • Unclaimed meals will be donated to a local food charity after end-of-day Friday

  • No refunds, re-deliveries, or replacements will be provided for unclaimed orders

Meals should be transported home in a cooler bag or temperature-controlled container.

6. Missed Pick-Up or Delivery

If you are unable to receive your order:

  • You may designate someone else to pick it up or receive it on your behalf

  • You may request donation of the meals to a local charity (no refund will be issued)

  • You may provide an alternate eligible address prior to the weekly cutoff time of Thursday at 11:30 AM (Atlantic Time)

If no arrangement is made, meals will be donated and no refund will be provided.

7. Shipping Fees and Taxes

Shipping and delivery fees are charged at checkout and include applicable taxes as per Canadian law. Meal prices themselves are tax-exempt as prepared food items, in accordance with current federal and provincial tax codes.

8. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, labour disruptions, or third-party courier failures.

9. Compliance and Limitation of Liability

This Policy complies with all applicable federal and provincial food safety laws, including but not limited to:

  • Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA)

  • Provincial Health Acts of Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick

By placing an order, you agree to be bound by this Policy and acknowledge that FYB – Fuel Your Body – Healthy Meal Delivery Inc. will not be held liable for losses or damages resulting from non-compliance with food handling or storage instructions post-delivery.
